Early voting for the August 30 primaries is open now and the Downtown Dems are doing everything we can to mobilize voters for Democrats. Join us for a voter mobilization event this weekend.
The Hillary Clinton campaign is running a voter registration drive before the start of Friday's Critical Mass bike ride. They will give you everything you need to get people registered. Meet beginning at 6pm. To RSVP contact Calum Smith at email@example.com.
On Saturday August 27 we will be talking to voters in Coconut Grove in support of Mo Abety's bid for school board seat 6. Mo is a progressive and will fight to get our children the education they deserve. We'll be meeting at Edge Communications at 2929 SW 3rd Ave at 10.30 on Saturday. More details and RSVP here.
Join your fellow Downtown Dems for Brunch & Vote on Sunday August 28. We'll have a special brunch menu at Fados in Brickell (including deals on mimosas!) before taking the metromover together to Government Center to vote early. The forum is at Faith Community Baptist Church at 10401 NW 8th Ave. All of the Democratic candidates for House District 108 are confirmed and all but one of the State Senate Democratic candidates. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

We're joining forces with the Annette Taddeo campaign to host a watch party for the final night of the DNC where Hillary Clinton will accept the Democratic Presidential nomination! Join us in the back room at the Grove Spot at 3324 Virginia St in Coconut Grove from 7pm on Thursday July 28th.
We'll also be unveiling our very first Democratic Voter Guide that outlines the choices you have in August and November. We hope you will join us to hear from Annette (live) and Hillary (on TV) and meet other Democrats committed to the progressive movement.

June 1, there will be a Judicial Forum held at the Wolfson Campus of Miami Dade College. Candidates for all of the county judicial elections on August 30th have been invited to let the voters know what their qualifications are. Gail and I will be there. You should be too.
Election Day is approaching and the Downtown Dems are ready to fight for our candidates! We will be organizing voter registration, canvassing and phone banks to reach out as many voters as possible.

Now it's time to bring some Downtown Dems flavor to the Miami Heat. We'll be conducting a voter registration drive outside of the American Airlines Arena this Wednesday, April 27th starting at 6pm. Political Director – You will be our liaison to elected officials and candidates
Membership Director – You will be in charge of increasing membership and keeping our membership list updated
Fundraising Director – You will be in charge of raising money and planning fundraisers
Programs Director – You will be in charge of planning our events and selecting/prepping our speakers
Campaign Director – You will be in charge of our volunteer activities: voter registration, phone banking, canvassing, etc.
Kindly submit the applications by Monday, April 18th. Between Monday and Thursday we will send out the bios of the applicants so that our members can review them beforehand. Beware that only 2016 members are eligible to vote.

March 8th - The Miami-Dade Democratic Party is hosting a fundraiser with DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, DNC National Finance Chair Henry Munoz, Co-Chair Stephen Bittel, and surprise special guests on Tuesday, March 8th at 6:00 p.m. The event will be held at The Bar at 1306 located at 1306 N. Miami Ave Miami, FL 33136. Come out and support our local party on the eve of the Democratic Presidential Primary Debate here in Miami.
March 9th - Debate Watch Party with the Downtown Dems! If you're not attending the debate in person we'd love for you to join us at Fado's (900 S Miami Ave, Ste 200, Miami, Florida 33130) from 7pm onward.
The Washington Post will be streaming live from the event and there will be some pre-debate games and contests before it begins. There may even be a few "Make America Drumpf Again" hats on the line
March 12th - The Miami-Dade Young Dems will be registering voters during Art Walk in Wynwood--nothing goes with art, music and good food quite like civic engagement. They'll be meeting up outside of Panther Coffee at 5 p.m. (2390 NW 2nd Ave Miami, FL 33127).
March 13th - Brunch & Vote! Join us for a delicious brunch special on Sunday March 13th 11am at Fado's Irish Pub. (900 S Miami Ave, Ste 200, Miami, Florida 33130)
After brunch, we will all jump into the metroMover to Government Center and cast our ballots together.
